Braidwood is a National Trust classfied town founded in 1836 and still has numerous historic buildings.

Braidwood has an abundance of cafe's, restaurants and boutique country shopping specialising in local arts, crafts and antiques. The town has two supermarkets, newsagent, Bank with ATM and Post Office,  Hospital and Emergency Services.

Just five minutes from the centre of the town is a golf course, bowls, squash courts at the Servicemans Club. 


Braidwwod is an ideal country destination. You will want to stay awhile and explore.
Braidwood is the halfway stop, just one hour from Canberra and the South Coast (Batemans Bay) and one hour from Goulburn. Sydney is 3.5 hours.

The town is surrounded by National Parks and forests.The area is renowned for trout fishing and bush walking and gold panning in the rivers which are also good for swimming in the summer.
