Margaret and Roger Royds are the current owners and custodians of Bedervale.

Roger is the descendant of Thomas Molyneux Royds who set sail from England in May 1842 on The Duke of Manchester.

Thomas Molyneux arrived in Sydney Australia in 1842. On disembarking from the ship Thomas stayed with a friend of the family, Robert Ramsey in Sydney, who was a wool agent, importer and grazier. Ramsey took Thomas to his station in New South Wales to learn about farming in Australia. The impatient teenager was suppoosed to stay six months but records suggest he was only there three months.

Thomas Molyneux moved to Braidwood and probably leased some land nearby, possibly Ballallaba, to graze cattle.
